Abstract

This is an interview with Aliza Leventhal, a private citizen who documented the Black Lives Matter Memorial Fence in 2020 and later became professionally involved as a librarian and archivist in preserving the artifacts of the Fence in 2021.

This collection consists of letters, zines, photographs and personal items related to Mike Ross’s involvement in the punk music scene in Washington D.C. and New York City dating approximately between 1982 and 1987. This collection includes copies of Ross’s zine D.C. Riot.

Scope and Contents The Willard R. Ross Postcard Collection comprises original gelatin silver postcard prints, primarily of the streets and architecture of Washington D.C. and the surrounding areas.
