Custodial History
The United State Chamber of Commerce contacted the Library in August of 2020 about preserving sections of the temporary construction wall that became community message board during the civil unrest in the days following the death of George Floyd. Among the panels selected during that process were three panels containing the works of Albert "Vision" Williams. After obtaining the works, the Library negotiated with the artist for the purchase of the works. The works were purchased by the DC Public Library Foundation in early 2023 and then permanently transferred to the People's Archive Collection.
