Scope and Contents

Collection consists of 366 35mm slides taken by photographers James Taulman (318 images), Jan Faul (29 images), and Robert Burgess (19 images) of buildings throughout the city. Tauman's images were taken as part of a project funded by Trammell Crow Company in Dalas Texas in 1980 to document recent commercial architecture across the country. Only the images documenting the District are included in this collection. The collection was assembled by the Library following its acquisition.

Content Description

The collection consists of newspaper clippings, notes, photographs, and slides. Subjects include DC Monuments, natural photography, bird feeders, national parks, parades, and canals. The collection is broken into three series: Obituaries, Photographs, and Slides.

Scope and Contents This collection contains a written narrative detailing the history of the United States Civil Works Administration (CWA) in Washington, DC, as well as 34 black-and-white photographs depicting CWA projects throughout the city in 1934. Following the initial report is a memorandum and table showing approved projects, estimated costs, and completion status. Content Description

The collection consists primarily of 23 booklets describing the meeting programs of the Washington Cultus Club. Names of members and their addresses are included in the final pages of each booklet. Also included is a folder of notes and clippings. A handwritten version of the program for 1948-49 can be found in this folder.
