Downtown Progress Records
The collection contains correspondence, meeting minutes, committee reports, memoranda, legal papers, and general office files of Downtown Progress. Also included are photographs, sketches, maps, architectural drawings, street diagrams, and slides of buildings and streetscapes located in the downtown urban renewal area of Washington, D.C.

Dupont Park Civic Association Records
The collection contains correspondence, by-laws, newsletters, and monthly meeting minutes of the Dupont Park Civic Association. Significant items in the collection include monthly crime reports issued by the Sixth District, Jesse Jackson’s 1988 speech to seek the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, and the Far Northeast Council of Civic Association’s proposal for community action against poverty.
Sarah E. Ellis Papers
Contains correspondence, clippings, meeting minutes, reports, and pamphlets of local issues and citizens’ organizations in which Mrs. Ellis was involved; including the Chillum Heights Citizens’ Association, the D.C. Federation of Citizens’ Associations, Junior Village, the Committee for the Rights of the D.C. Business Community, urban renewal, home rule, and mass transit. Of significance, is a 1972 report titled "Report of the Special Citizens’ Advisory Committee on Urban Renewal in D.C."

Major topics covered include city planning and zoning, historical preservation, election law, D.C. government budgets, transportation, and crime.
Friendship Citizens Association Records
This collection consists of correspondence, programs, newsletters, meeting minutes, resolutions, and other materials related to the Friendship Citizens Association of Washington, D.C. The construction of a new D.C. Public Library branch in the Tenley-Friendship neighborhood was of particular interest to the Association.
Home Rule Committee Collection
The materials include meeting minutes; correspondence; congressional testimony; by-laws; pamphlets; a history of the Home Rule Committee; political pins and stickers; and clippings. Folders are arranged alphabetically by topic.
Ivy City-Trinidad Citizens Association Records

Edward A. Kane Papers
