Scope and Contents
This collection comprises materials that are related to go-go music and go-go musicians, particularly artists whose music was distributed and promoted by Liaison Records. Materials include correspondence, fliers and promotional materials, ephemera, photographs, and periodical and newspaper clippings on go-go music, performers, events and culture.

This series contains press releases for Chuck Brown arranged by year.being recognized at the White House and Chuck Brown featured in a media campaign for the DC Lottery.
There are also copies of promotional fliers for Chuck Brown at the 9:30 Club, Tower Records, Tramps Niteclub in NYC and a poster promoting Chuck Brown and The Soul Searchers in Europe.
The series also includes a Chuck Brown-autographed promotion flyer for the double cd set, “The Best of Chuck Brown”, promo material for several Chuck Brown CD and DVD releases including one with Eva Cassidy, a short bio of Chuck Brown, a short interview with Chuck Brown and a listing of Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers’ 1993 European tour stops and the itinerary for the band’s 1992 tour in Japan.
This series also includes fliers for the Labor Day Fest with The Kings of Go-Go, the documentary “Cool ‘Disco’ Dan”, a poster for Trouble Funk and other bands at the Atlas Disco, a poster for Scream and other bands at the Wilson Center and a promo photocopy of Redds & The Boys band and promotional fliers for Rare Essence’s album, "Turn It Up."
