She discusses her tactics for teaching young people about business and making sure the tour busses and shows ran on time.

Mr. Joseph documented the Go-Go scene in Prince George’s County along with then Washington Post staff writer Natalie Hopkinson and his photographs are included in her 2012 book, 'Go-Go Live: The Musical Life and Death of a Chocolate City' (Duke Press, 2012).
