District of Columbia Militia Scrapbook Collection
The collection consists of three scrapbooks about the D.C. Militia (National Guard) Engineer Battalion. Materials included in the scrapbooks include: clippings from local and national newspapers, correspondence, programs, flyers, maps, blueprints, and photographs. The scrapbooks are labeled "1890-1898," however, the materials extend to 1906. Each scrapbook contains notes at the beginning regarding the contents.
Downtown Progress Records
The collection contains correspondence, meeting minutes, committee reports, memoranda, legal papers, and general office files of Downtown Progress. Also included are photographs, sketches, maps, architectural drawings, street diagrams, and slides of buildings and streetscapes located in the downtown urban renewal area of Washington, D.C.
Homer Building Research Materials Collection
This collection consists of notes, clippings, research resources, correspondence, plat maps, and legal documents related to the citizens’ action group Don’t Tear It Down and the Homer Building (601 13th Street NW). Detailed results of research on the Homer Building are located in FF9 and FF10.
Mayor's Mansion Debate Collection
The collection consists primarily of correspondence, in the form of emails, faxes, and letters. Additional materials include: reports, testimonies, maps, copies of deeds, and appraisals from both government agencies, and private citizens.
