Scope and Content Note: (overall look at the collection) The collection consists of scrapbooks containing Albert W. Atwood’s articles and editorials from The the Saturday Evening Post and The National Geographic Magazine, as well as three books and a poster from the DC Public Library. Also included are photographs, articles, and awards.

Scope and Contents The collection consists of 156 8x10 inch portraits, of which only one is in black and white. The images were used in an exhibit titled Washington’s Millennium Leaders – Through the Bachrach Lens, which was on display at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library from January 24, 2002 through April 2002. Scope and Contents The Betty Beale Collection consists of 14 small spiral-bound notebooks and one Selectronics WordFinder 224 from ca. 1952 -1981, all of which belonged to journalist Betty Beale. The notebooks contain handwritten notes in both English and shorthand. The notes in English include names of individuals, places, phone numbers, addresses, numbers and figures, schedules/itineraries, and other miscellaneous bits of information.
