This collection contains correspondence, internal memorandum, proposals, publicity materials, legislative materials, meeting minutes, editorials, and membership lists. Most of these materials are related to Home Rule voting rights for D.C. residents from the 1930s through the 1960s. Organizations mentioned in this collection include the D.C. Suffrage Association, Committee of the 100, Citizens Conference on District Suffrage, and Young People’s Home Rule League.

WETA Women of Achievement Oral History Project

Scope and Contents Between 1979 and 1985 WETA-FM conducted a total of 56 "luncheon series" oral history interviews with notable women in the greater Washington, D.C. area. All interviews were a part of a series entitled "Women of Achievement." Each interview is approximately 45 minutes to an hour long and topics included life and work experiences. The collection consists of twenty-seven glass plate negatives and corresponding 8x10 black & white prints, dating from circa 1880-1900. Image subjects include the Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress, U.S. Capitol, Lafayette Park, Mount Vernon, and the Petersen House. Additionally there are several images of what is believed to be the Potomac River, as well as a number of unidentifiable locations.
