Abracadabra Club of Washington, D.C. Records
The records consist of meeting minutes, attendance records, financial records, correspondence, clippings, pamphlets, photographs and yearbooks, all related to the activities of the Abracadabra Club and its members. The collection also contains two gavels and a block used to call meetings to order. The records reflect the intellectual interests of the members of the Club and cover a wide variety of topics spanning over a century of time.

The collection consists of scrapbooks containing Albert W. Atwood’s articles and editorials from The the Saturday Evening Post and The National Geographic Magazine, as well as three books and a poster from the DC Public Library. Also included are photographs, articles, and awards.
The control file for this collection contains a title index of Mr. Atwood’s articles and editorials from The Saturday Evening Post.
Bachrach Photograph Collection
Bethea-Welch VFW Post 7248 Ladies Auxiliary Records
The Bethea-Welch VFW Post 7248 Ladies Auxiliary Collection documents the day-to-day business of the club and contains lists of officers, events, meeting notes, minutes, and programs, printed materials, awards, and officer lists. Of particular note are photographs and scrapbooks documenting Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) events.
Black Military Photograph Collection
This collection consists of 262 black and white photographs of African Americans in military service during World War II. Photographs depict soldiers in combat, receiving honors or awards, performing duties, training, recovering from injuries, and enjoying leisure activities. Some portraits of soldiers are also included.
Frank E. Braxton Collection
The collection consists of materials collected by Frank E. Braxton, Sr. Materials include clippings, correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks, and 3D materials including license plates and campaign buttons.
Capital Bicycle Club Collection
Capitol Hill Symphony Society Collection
This collection consists of correspondence, memos, by-laws, photographs, programs, meeting minutes, and press releases related to the Capitol Hill Symphony Society. The majority of the materials were created in 1964, although the dates range from 1962 to 1965.
Card Mounted Photograph Collection
Collection consists of various types of cartes-de-visites and cabinet card photographs ,which were popular in the 19th and early 20th century.
