One box containing five folders of copies of 18th century Georgetown property documents. Folder 1; 1751 "An Act for laying out and creating a town on Patowmack River above the mouth of Rock Creek in Frederick County." (Liber #25, Folios 545-549. Original in Hall of Records, Annapolis, Maryland.) Folder 2: 1752 "The survey of said town being completed, and a plat thereof delivered by the appointed surveyor..." (Descriptive text survey of the of 80 Georgetown lots. Includes supplementary typed 1752 sheet listing purchasers of lots and amount paid.) Folder 3: 1770 - 1810 "The addition to George Town laid off in the year 1769 for Charles Beatty and George F. Hawkins by Mr. Zachariah White beginning as below for..." (Document gives dimensions of lots, date of sale of lots and half lots, 1770-1810. Original in Library of Congress.) Folder 4: 1770 "A list showing respectively to whom every (one) of the lots drew in the addition to George Town were conveyed." (Shows date of conveyance, to whom conveyed, lot number, rent in sterling, and acreage. Original in Library of Congress.) Folder 5: "At the request of John Threlkeld the following deed was recorded this 6th day of September 1785..." (Deed from Liber c, Folio 151; supplementary map Liber E, page 296, Montgomery County Government, Rockville, Maryland.)
