Contract two is dated February 8, 1837 and is between Georgetown Postmaster Harriet H. Corcoran [1803-1886, spouse of James] and [barely legible] Thomas Corcoran, Jr. [1794-1846] and brother William Wilson Corcoran [1798-1888] who collectively "...are held and firmly bound unto the United States of America, in the just and full sum of $6,000.00 [equivalent to $159,000.00 in 2022].
