This collection includes a selection of campaign posters of past candidates for public office in the District of Columbia from the 1970s to the present.
The collection documents District elections after the passage of Home Rule in 1973 and primarily consists of posters for city council and mayoral candidates. Prominent people represented in the collection include Marion Barry, Charlene Drew Jarvis, Walter Fauntroy, and Arrington Dixon.
