D.C. Oral History Collaborative (DCOHC) is a citywide initiative to train community members in oral history skills, fund new and ongoing oral history projects, connect volunteers with oral history projects, and publicize existing oral history collections. DCOHC is a project of DC Public Library, HumanitiesDC, and the Historical Society of Washington, D.C. This collection contains oral history interviews, transcripts, and indexes produced by DCOHC grantees.

Biographical / Historical

Carlos Carmona Medina is a successful art director and an intellectually curious artist with more than 12 years of international experience in media, more recently in the world of public affairs and public relations. His current ongoing passion project, DC IS MY CITY, chronicles life in Washington, D.C. He currently lives in D.C.

Abstract

Visual artist Kim Benavides meet with illustrator and art director Carlos Carmona at the Rock Creek Graveyard to talk about how he has found inspiration for his art living in D.C. The interview was done mainly in English with a couple of phrases in Spanish from time to time.
