As a dedicated member of the Barney Circle community, John Capozzi was active in the Neighborhood Watch. He helped to found the Orange Hat Patrol, a community group dedicated to keeping crime, violence, and drugs off of neighborhood streets. The Neighborhood Watch also actively sponsored vigils, marches, and community events in order to advocate for the prevention of crime in their neighborhood.
